Given the amount of rain that falls in Ranong during the monsoon season, it goes without saying that naturally there are many beautiful waterfalls in the Province. Some of the good ones are mentioned on this page.
PUNYABAN WATERFALL

About 16 kilometres north of town towards Chumpon on highway #4 is Punyaban Waterfall. A fast rushing fall with nice cool shady areas to sit, relax and enjoy the nature. A restaurant, gift shop and information centre are also at the falls.

NGAO WATERFALL
Situated about 12 kilometres south of Ranong and opposite the Bald Mountain (Grass Mountain) is Ngao Waterfall National Park. The park comprises the magnificent waterfall cascading down from an enormous height, which is visible as far as Koh Chang and Phayam. There is a gentle trail through some of the forest around the waterfall with a rest area which gives a commanding view of the grass mountain. There is also a guest house and a restaurant on the side of the river..

BOKKRAI WATERFALL

About 50 kilometres north of Ranong and 10 kms off of Petchkasem highway is Bokkrai waterfall which drops 13 levels. The surrounding rain forest has many species of wild animal some of which are quite rare. A short nature trail runs through the forest.
